16th century Mendelssohn Cottage lies at the bottom of the Cotswold escarpment, in the village of Willersey, near Broadway. The spacious and enclosed garden backs directly onto the fields and trees of Willersey Hill.
The village is situated between the beautiful villages of Broadway and Chipping Camden, the home of the Arts and Crafts Movement, all within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
In this wonderful location, the cottage would make an ideal base for a family holiday, or could equally well provide a peaceful writing retreat or simply a place for quiet contemplation.
While the cottage has modern conveniences like central heating and Wi-Fi, it also still has its original oak beams and flagstones, William Morris curtains, four-poster bed, original paintings and Winchcombe pottery. The bookshelves are full of books on theology, literature and art, as well as children’s books.
The cottage has one double and one single bedroom, and can sleep five.
